These are the faces of Katy Responds on the ground, organizing teams of volunteers, fundraising for projects to help families and individuals in need, and working to make a positive change in our community.

Executive Director
Ron Peters
Originally from Michigan, Ron relocated to Texas in 1990. He & his wife Jody have five children and six grandchildren. Together they own and operate Three Strands Place, a rental venue that host marriage ministry events. Before joining Katy Responds, Ron worked as an independent contractor and sales director for an industrial supply company.

Site Supervisor
Karl Wagner
Karl moved from New Jersey in 2022. He has experience in emergency dispatch and home improvement, which helps him connect with homeowners while restoring their homes. Karl volunteers with Katy Men's Baptist and Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children in his spare time and offers a prayer of gratitude and intention on-site.

Client Care Coordinator
Chris Ajamiseba
Chris relocated to Houston in 2022 to be nearer to her grandchildren. Her son, Michael, was involved with Katy Responds when she decided to volunteer. Chris has over two decades experience in education, senior care & public health throughout South East-Asia and the Southern US which proves to be invaluable for families in crisis.

Media Coordinator
Madison Peters
Madison is the media manager for Katy Responds, overseeing the organization's social media sites, content creations, and website updates. Madison ensures that Katy Responds stays connected with its followers and supporters. Daughter to Ron, the executive director, they are a family that brings a passion for community service. You may find Madison on site documenting!

Outreach Coordinator
Sonya Meyers
Sonya has over 25 years in B2B sales and 6 years experience in non-profit disaster response and recovery organizations. Sonya also serves on the Board of Texas Congregational Disaster Readiness as the Secretary and works with this program for the KR service area. Sonya has fostered good relationships among other non-profits as well as city, county & state representatives.

Accountant
Misty Newsome
Misty has lived all her life in the Houston area, apart from her college excursions. She is a CPA of 20 years and runs her own firm. She helps KR with the bookkeeping weekly and loves hearing the stories of our client’s lives transformed. In her spare time, she homeschools her 6 kids and runs a non-profit in Uganda empowering women.

Communications
Eliza Willhoit
Meet Eliza, our new Communications Coordinator. A Texas native, she’s lived in Katy most of her life and is continuing her studies at the University of Houston-Victoria. At Katy Responds, Eliza manages correspondence, creates the monthly newsletter, and handles our administrative software. She finds the most reward in meeting clients and seeing how God works through our organization.

Operations Manager
Sasha Cox​
Sasha Cox has lived in Fort Bend County for over 12 years, actively contributing to the community through nonprofit work, including disaster recovery. She’s served on the I-10 Shootout board, organizing a soccer tournament for Katy ISD scholarships. Sasha and her daughter have been National Charity League members for six years, and she also supports the Cinco Ranch Band and local arts, wrestling, and soccer. Her leadership reflects a strong commitment to the community.

Construction Manager
Mike Terzo
Mike Terzo is our new Operations Manager. A Southern California native now based in Katy, Texas, Mike brings over 15 years of construction experience and a strong background in the Coast Guard. He was inspired to join our cause by his faith and desire to give back. Mike, his wife, and their three sons are members of Katy Bible Church. We're excited to see the impact he'll make!
